Christina Ebel was born in the early 80's and raised in Thuringia, Germany. She left home at the age of 18 to
study media technologies at the School of Media in Stuttgart, Germany. Unsure as to whether this was the
right career path, Christina dropped out and tried various other jobs, which took her to Ireland where she
stayed to work and study for the last 6 years.
In 2007 Christina began a B.A. degree in Photography at D.I.T., Dublin Institute of Technology. After a short
while, she found the courage to turn her creative passion for images into a career. Since then Christina has
been working hard to create images that tell stories and speak to viewers. Recently she has become very
interested in self-reflective work, investigating her own conscious and unconscious, her emotions, her
memory and her own family album. Most recently, Christina worked as a director of photography on an
independent Irish movie and has developed a strong interest in the moving image and its relationship to the still
image.
