Mary Ann Reilly is a fine arts photographer and educator born in Dublin, Ireland and raised in New
Jersey. Her areas of specialty include black & white, portrait, and collage. For her, art is about
perspective and the capacity to recognize what has been present often without knowing. Photography
allows her the occasion to recast the familiar in new cloth, resituate understanding, and unsettle
certainties.
Her artwork has been selected for national and international juried shows, awarded honors, including
several Best in Shows, and has been exhibited in galleries in Manhattan as well as galleries in California,
Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Additionally, her photographs
have been published in F-Stop, Dark Sky Magazine, Honey Land Review, Wild Violet, In the Mist,
English Journal, and Life Images.
Mary Ann, a self-taught artist, holds a doctorate from Teachers College/Columbia University.
