Chris Whitney enjoys traveling California’s Highway 395 from Lone Pine to Lee Vining, visiting his
favorite destinations: the Alabama Hills, the Bristlecone Pine Forest, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, and
Mono Lake. These are places he roams free with his camera. When not exploring his favorite California
landscapes, Chris enjoys finding images in his everyday life, especially around his home and garden.
Chris uses digital cameras to capture fleeting moments around town, but he now uses a 4x5 large
format camera and enjoys film to capture his grand landscapes and their details.
Chris has been published in B&W Magazine, JPG Magazine, Peterson’s Photographic, The San Diego
Union Tribune, and Life Images. 2009 group shows include: RoHo Photo Gallery and The Center for
Fine Art Photography.
